Looking for something new and done by a small gaming company? Well look no futher than this article right here! A new game just came out on the Nintendo Switch called INMOST, which was created by Hidden Layer Games. So let’s dive in and see what they have to offer to the table.
So what is it about?
INMOST is an emotional, deeply atmospheric narrative-driven puzzle platformer. Uncover the story of an adventurous young girl, a stoic knight, and a man in search of answers. Explore a crumbling, nightmarish landscape, slice through enemies, and spring deadly traps in order to escape the evil that awaits! Just a heads up to all those who play, the meaning behind the story is very deep and can get really emotional (and hit home)!
What does it bring to the table?
This game offers a 3-5 hour story that really should be played on a stormy night to help get the full effect they are going for. You get to experience this heartfelt journey through the eyes of 3 main characters: A Child, a Knight, and a Wanderer. A knight adventures into the depths of a deteriorating castle, a child uncovers the past of an eerie house, and a wanderer searches for answers.
Make sure to use all the tools at your disposal so that way you can defeat enemies and make it through the mazes with ease! While doing all this, enjoy the beautiful pixel style that the game is bringing to the table! (Featuring the vocal talents of Andrew Dennis and Cassandra Lee Morris).
The game is playable in 14 languages, including: English, French, German, Russian, Spanish, Italian, Arabic, Dutch, Japanese, Korean, Brazilian Portuguese, Turkish, Simplified and Traditional Chinese.

So I think this is a beautiful piece of work that has piqued my interest a lot. It’s pretty cheap too, with the price tag of 15$. (I have seen games like this, with the same length for more, which is a huge turn off for a lot of people). This is the type of game I would load up for a Stream one-off or load up while taking a long road trip/plane ride. It seems to run really smooth and handle very well. I love the fact they– as a studio– were not afraid to put a very heavy theme to it. I really also love that they made it in so many languages right off the bat and having some big names in the voice acting line up! (This makes me really appreciate the company as a whole).
